A Little Background
I was born and raised on a farm in rural Parke County, Indiana. I served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in December 1984
I have been a welder, mechanic, and electrician for over 35 years. With a background in welding and fabrication I was natrually drawn to the art of blacksmithing. Sometime in the late 90's I attended The Feast of the Hunter's Moon in Lafayette, Indiana. I watched the ring of Blacksmith's forge for three hours and I immediately got hooked, on my way home from the event I purchased a 111-pound Peter Wright anvil. I have been forging ever since.
I began my blacksmithing doing traditional work and soon started forging flowers and natural pieces. I still do traditional work from time to time but natural art fomrs are my favorite work.
In 2012, I resigned my position as a maintenance supervisor at a local factory and starting forging full time, this has not been easy but it has its perks. When I'm not forging, I enjoy riding motorcycles, frequently visiting junk shops, and photography.
